Privacy & Cookie Policy

Last updated: Oct. 21, 2026

This policy explains what information PetsLoveWorld ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. This website is a business-to-business catalogue; it is not directed at children.

1. Who is responsible

PetsLoveWorld is the data controller for this website. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. What we collect and why

Inquiry form. When you send an inquiry (name, email, company, message and any file you attach), we use that information only to answer your request and to prepare a quotation. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) — or the contract we are about to conclude with you (Art. 6(1)(b)). We keep inquiry records for up to 24 months, and longer only where a business relationship follows.

Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) for security and troubleshooting.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Cookies

A cookie is a small text file a website stores on your device. This website sets the following cookies:

CookieTypePurposeLifetime
csrftoken Strictly necessary Protects the inquiry form against cross-site request forgery. Without it, the form cannot be submitted securely. This cookie does not track you and does not require consent. 1 year
_ga, _ga_* Analytics (optional) Google Analytics 4 — helps us understand which pages are visited so we can improve the catalogue. These cookies are only set after you click "Accept all" in the cookie banner; the analytics script is not even loaded before that. Up to 2 years

When you first visit, you can choose "Accept all" or "Essential only". If you decline, no analytics cookies are set and Google Analytics never loads. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) and applies to this site only. You can change your mind at any time:

Analytics data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google may process it outside the EEA; transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. You can opt out of Google Analytics for the web at: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with: (a) our hosting and email providers, who process it on our instructions; and (b) Google, for the optional analytics described above. We never sell or rent personal data.

5. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your personal data, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, the right to data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] — we reply within 30 days.

6. Security

The website is served over HTTPS, form submissions are CSRF-protected, and inquiry data is accessible only to authorised staff through the site's admin interface.

7. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
